LOCATION - Lat 42°59'49.7", long 78°11'17.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Genesee County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04120104, on right bank 150 ft downstream from municipal dam, 500 ft upstream from bridge on Walnut Street in Batavia, and 5.0 mi downstream from Little Tonawanda Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 171 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1627: 1956-57. WSP 1912: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1944 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Datum of gage is 876.33 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 875.84 ft above NAVD of 1988.
COOPERATION - City of Batavia maintains records of diversion.
REMARKS - Diversion upstream from station by City of Batavia for municipal supply; sewage, which may include water from municipal and industrial wells upstream from station, enters creek downstream from station.
Water Years 2014-18: Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are fair. Water Years 2019-22: Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
