LOCATION - Lat 43°05'55", long 89°31'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.10, T.7 N., R.8 E., Dane County, WI, Hydrologic Unit 07090001,
DRAINAGE AREA - 6.12 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Record analysis at the end of the 2015 water year determined a revision of the maximum peak flow and stage were necessary at that time. Maximum peak flow and stage prior to 2015 water year, 720 cfs at 6.53 ft on June 26, 2013, was erroneous.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2009 to September 2009. October 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Water stage recorder and crest stage gage. Initial gage datum of 925 ft. above NAVD of 1988, from topographic map. The revised gage datum of 912.39 ft NAVD 1988 was determined by GPS on 10/11/2022.
REMARKS - Records are considered good except for estimated daily discharges which are poor  and other periods as noted. For records prior to October 1, 2013, see remarks printed in the annual water-data reports.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Peak of record discharge is 3,770 cfs (9.84 ft from crest stage gage), which occurred 8/20/2018. The peak unit value discharge is considered estimated and was determined based on a step backwater measurement (no. 81). 
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - SUPENDED SEDIMENT DISCHARGE: February to August 1998 and June to September 2009 October 2011 to present. TOTAL-PHOSPHOROUS DISCHARGE: February to August 1998 and June to September 2009 October 2011 to present. ORTHO-PHOSPHOROUS DISCHARGE: October 2011 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Refrigerated autosampler February to August 1998 and June to September 2009 and October 2011 to present.
REMARKS - Records good. Samples are point samples unless otherwise indicated. Daily loads and concentrations generated using GCLAS (Graphical Constituent Loading Analysis System) using linear interpolation between sample concentrations. For WY2013 and prior, a log-linear interpolation was used.
