LOCATION - Lat 39°00'40.7", long 90°58'39.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 sec.14, T.49 N., R.1 W., Lincoln County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 07110008, on downstream side of right end of downstream bridge on dual U.S. Highway 61, 1.2 mi downstream from confluence of North Fork and West Fork Cuivre Rivers, and 2.0 mi north of Troy.
DRAINAGE AREA - 903 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 855: 1933(m), 1935(m), 1937(m). WSP 895: 1939. WSP 1005: 1942(m). WSP 1308: 1922-25(m).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Mar 1922 to Jul 1972, May 1979 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 450.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Oct 12, 2021, the datum was 450.27 ft, determined by levels. Prior to Oct 1, 1930, nonrecording gage at site 3 mi downstream at datum 4.31 ft lower; Oct 1, 1930, to Jul 1939, nonrecording gage at present site and datum.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - The highest flood since 1888 was the flood of Dec 1895 which reached a gage height of 27.90 ft.
