LOCATION - Lat 42°09'35", long 87°47'53" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.35, T.43 N., R.12 E., Lake County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120003, on right bank 100 ft. downstream of bridge on Clavey Road in Highland Park, and at mile 7.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 21.1 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemeter, and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 622.53 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Occasional diversion due to pumping upstream from gage. Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS IL Water Science Center.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Flood of July 1938 reached a stage of 10.6 ft, discharge not determined, from information furnished by Highland Park City Engineer.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SURFACE-WATER DISCHARGE AND STAGE: Maximum discharge, 1,770 ft³/s, July 12, 2017, gage height, 10.44 ft; minimum discharge, no flow at times in several years.
