LOCATION - Lat 41°43'12.93", long 88°07'54.96" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.6, T.37 N., R.10 E., Will County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120004, on the downstream side of bridge on Washington Street, near the southern boundary of Naperville, and at mile 29.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 123 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Datum of gage is 629.73 ft above NAVD of 1988 as determined by GNSS Level II survey using GEOID18. Datum was previously published in error October 1, 1988, to September 30, 1995, as 625.28 ft above NGVD of 1929.
Revisions: Peak gage height for water year 2017 was revised on July 18, 2023, to notate datum change due to temporary site relocation, 1.0 mi upstream. Peak gage height for water year 2018 was revised on July 18, 2023, to notate datum change when site returned to its permanent location.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemeter, crest-stage gage and an unheated tipping-bucket rain gage. Datum of gage is 629.73 ft. above NAVD of 1988. May 24, 2016, to Sept. 27, 2017, at temporary location 1.0 mi upstream, at datum of 640.15 ft NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Collection, computation, and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service. Precipitation data could be subject to error for days with freezing and/or thawing of precipitation, which are identified as estimated (e). Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS IL Water Science Center.
