LOCATION - Lat 42°03'31.2", long 88°18'14.64" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.3, T.41 N., R.9 E., Kane County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, on left upstream bridge abutment on Big Timber Road, .5 mi west of Elgin, and at mile 1.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 38.9 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemeter, unheated tipping-bucket rain gage, and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 745.04 ft. above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Sept. 30, 1980, at downstream side of bridge 100 ft downstream and at datum 7.36 ft higher.

Precipitation data could be subject to error for days with freezing and/or thawing of precipitation, which are identified as estimated (e).
