LOCATION - Lat 39°46'45", long 89°35'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.6, T.15 N., R.4 E., Sangamon County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07130007, on downstream center of footbridge on Lost Bridge Trail, 0.2 mi. upstream from Illinois Route 29 bridge, 0.5 mi. west of Springfield, 2.7 mi. downstream from Spaulding Dam, and at mile 5.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 274 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Discharge record for Nov. 30, 2019, to May 7, 2020, was revised on Aug. 25, 2020, due to errors in the shifted ratings.

Gage height records for Mar. 9-14, 2020, and Apr. 8-22, 2020, were revised on Aug. 25, 2020, to remove erroneous extreme low values.

REMARKS - Flow regulated by Spaulding Dam at Lake Springfield 2.7 mi. upstream. Accuracy of records is discussed in the annual Station Analysis archived at the USGS IL Water Science Center.
