06102050 MARIAS RIVER NEAR LOMA, MT
LOCATION - Lat 47°56'45.25", long 110°34'51.02" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.12, T.25 N., R.9 E., Chouteau County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 10030203, on left bank 600 ft upstream from Teton River, 800 ft upstream from highway bridge, 0.2 mi southwest of Loma, and at river mile 2.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 7,027 mi² of which 547 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MT-2013: Drainage area. The maximum discharge and gage height for water year 2010 along with gage height and discharge for the period June 21, 2010 to Oct. 31, 2010, were revised on August 6, 2021, based upon reanalysis of data. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1959 to September 1972, June 2001 to present (seasonal records only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,570 ft, referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to June 2001, water-stage recorder at site 4.5 mi upstream at different elevation. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter located at the gage.
REMARKS - Flow is completely regulated by Lake Elwell. Numerous diversions for irrigation occur upstream from the station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum peak stage from highwater mark.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: June 2014 to current year (seasonal records).
INSTRUMENTATION - Water temperature recorder was installed May 13, 2014.
REMARKS -  
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: During period of seasonal operation, maximum, 28.8°C, July 29, 2016; minimum, -0.1°C, April 4, 2018, April 2, 2020.
