06284010 Shoshone River below Willwood Dam, near Ralston, WY
LOCATION - Lat 44°40'18.33", long 108°54'55.42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.09, T.54 N., R.100 W., Park County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10080014, on right bank, 1,475 feet downstream of Willwood Dam and about 4 miles southwest of Ralston, Wyoming.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,851 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2017 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 4,483 ft above sea level (NAVD88), from digital elevation map.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Buffalo Bill Reservoir and Willwood Diversion Dam. Natural flow of stream affected by storage reservoir, power development, and diversions for irrigation.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2018 to October 2021.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - TURBIDITY: March 2018 through October 2021 (seasonal record).
INSTRUMENTATION - NEP 5000 Analyte turbidity sensor (SN 109168) continuously measures turbidity (in NTU units) on a 15-minute recording interval. The sensor operates at a range of 1 to 5000 (90 deg) NTU. The output from the sensor is linked to a Sutron Satlink 3 Data Collection Platform. Turbidity monitor was installed March 2018.
REMARKS -  
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -

Maximum, >6,940 formazin nephelometric units (FNU), May 27-28, 2019 and September 11-12, 2019 (peak went higher but was cut off by range of sensor);

Minimum, <1.0 FNU, July 17, 2018.
