LOCATION - Lat 40°56'11.9", long 106°20'21.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.11, T.11 N., R.80 W., Jackson County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 10180001, on right bank 1,000 ft downstream from bridge on State Highway 125, 0.7 mi upstream from Camp Creek, 4.2 mi northwest of Northgate, and 4.4 mi south of Colorado-Wyoming State line.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,431 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1310: 1916-21, 1929(M), 1930-32. WSP 1730: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May to November 1904 (published as "near Pinkhampton"), May 1915 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1310.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 7,810.39 ft above NGVD of 1929. See WSP 1730 for history of changes prior to April 8, 1918. April 8, 1918 to August 21, 1961, water-stage recorder at site 0.7 mi downstream from station at datum 3.36 ft lower. August 22, 1961 to September 18, 1984, at site 650 ft upstream from station at same datum. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - Diversions for irrigation and a transbasin diversion to Cache la Poudre River basin occur upstream from station.
