LOCATION - Lat 38°59'32", long 93°11'48" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.26, T.49 N., R.21 W., Saline County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10300104, on left bank at upstream side of bridge on northbound lane of U.S. Highway 65, 1.2 mi downstream from Finney Creek, 1.8 mi southeast of Blue Lick, and at mile 30.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,120 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1006: 1929. WDR MO-84-1: 1982(M).
Revisions: Gage datum was updated to 594.57 ft NAVD88 on June 14, 2022, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Gage datum was previously published as 593.79 ft NGVD29 from levels.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Jun 1922 to Sep 1933, May 1938 to current year. Published as "at Blue Lick" for periods of record from 1922 to 2000.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 594.57 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Jul 25, 1925, nonrecording gage at site 75 ft downstream at datum 0.10 ft lower; Jul 25 to Sep 30, 1933, and May 23, 1938 to Dec 3, 1956, nonrecording gage at site 25 ft downstream at same datum; Dec 4, 1956, to Oct 1, 1986, at site 0.5 mi upstream at present datum.
