LOCATION - Lat 36°57'03.4", long 90°59'30.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.6, T.26 N., R.1 E., Carter County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 11010008, on bridge 600 ft downstream from spring outlet, 0.4 mi upstream from Current River, and 3.5 mi southeast of Van Buren.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1311: 1922-23, 1928(M), 1929.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 1921 to Sep 1996, Feb 8, 2000 to current year. Prior to Oct 1, 1923, published as "near Chicopee". Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1311.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 429.33 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Feb 19, 1971, nonrecording gage; prior to Oct 1, 1934, at datum 1.0 ft higher. Water-stage recorder Feb 19, 1971 to Mar 15, 1978, at present datum; Mar 1978 to Sep 1996, nonrecording gage.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily mean 2,000 cfs on Dec 3, 1982, Feb 24, 1985, and Nov 21, 1985 occurred during periods of backwater from the Current River.
