LOCATION - Lat 38°56'22", long 104°44'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.11, T.13 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, on right bank 100 ft downstream from Woodmen Road, 4.0 mi east of Interstate 25, 5.0 mi upstream from mouth, and 8.2 mi northeast of courthouse in Colorado Springs.
DRAINAGE AREA - 10.2 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR CO-96-1: 1995 (M). WDR-US-2011: Drainage area. WDR-US-2007: 2003 (maximum daily precipitation).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1992 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 6,680 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Apr. 13, 1999, at present site and datum. Apr. 13, 1999 to Nov. 29, 2009, at site 150 ft downstream at datum 10 ft lower.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records fair except for flows above 100 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records fair except for flows above 25 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2017; records poor.
