LOCATION - Lat 36°20'37", long 96°47'57" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.31, T.22 N., R.5 E., Pawnee County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11060006, on downstream side of left pier of bridge on State Highway 18 in north Pawnee, 300 ft downstream from Skedee Creek, and at mile 23.4.
DRAINAGE AREA - 538 mi². From automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1117: Drainage area, WDR 2012: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1944 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 803.29 above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-18 by USGS Personnel on 07-31-2019 Prior to 07-31-2019 Datum of gage was 802.73 ft, NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Prior to Sept. 21, 1944, nonrecording gage at present site and datum; also Aug. 27, 1953 to Apr. 29, 1954, temporary nonrecording gage at site 500 ft downstream at same datum.
REMARKS - 10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023: records fair. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. 
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of May 19, 1943, reached a stage of 28.19 ft, from floodmark, discharge 17,800 ft³/s.
