  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1968 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1056.03 above NAVD of 1988 determined by GNSS Level 4 Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-8 by USGS Personnel on 05/12/22. Previous datum of gage is 1055.69 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS -

10/01/2022- 09/30/2023 records good. Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.

Flow regulated by Canton Lake (station 07238500) and by Lake Overholser (station 07240500) where diversions are made into Lake Hefner Canal (station 07240000). Low flow sustained in part by sewage effluent.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

WATER TEMPERATURE: October 1968 to current year.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: October 1968 to current year.

pH: October 1988 to current year.

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: October 1988 to current year.

REMARKS -

Accuracy rating of the record for the 2023 Water Year:

WATER TEMPERATURE: Excellent; Some large data gaps occurred, mainly from data deletions, equipment malfunctions, and monitor maintenance. Due to the Temperature sensor failing during the previous water year, all of the temperature data between 10/01/2023 through 10/25/2023 was removed. The sensor underwent NIST checks on a quarterly basis, and no EWI cross-section surveys were completed within this water year.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTIVITY: Fair; Some fouling and calibration drift corrections were applied. Some data loss occurred due to data deletions, equipment malfunctions, and monitor maintenance. Due to the temperature sensor failing during the previous water year, all of the specific conductivity data between 10/01/2023 through 10/25/2023 was removed as specific conductivity measurements depend on temperature. Additionally, no cross-section surveys were completed throughout this water year.

PH: Fair; Moderate fouling and calibration drift corrections were applied. Some data loss occurred due to data deletions, equipment malfunctions, and monitor maintenance. Due to the temperature sensor failing during the previous water year, all of the pH data between 10/01/2023 through 10/25/2023 was removed as pH measurements depend on temperature. Additionally, no cross-section surveys were completed throughout this water year.

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Poor; Many fouling and calibration drift corrections, some of fairly large magnitude which exceeded the maximum allowable limit of corrections. Some large data gaps occurred. Due to the temperature sensor failing during the previous water year, all of the dissolved oxygen data between 10/01/2023 through 10/25/2023 was removed as dissolved oxygen measurements depend on temperature. Additionally, no cross-section surveys were completed throughout this water year.

Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center.
