LOCATION - Lat 34°54'45", long 95°09'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.13, T.5 N., R.20 E., Latimer County, OK, Hydrologic Unit 11110105, on downstream side of left abutment of county road bridge, 0.1 mi downstream from Little Fourche Maline, 5.0 mi southwest of Red Oak, and at mile 41.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 120 mi². from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated 10/01/2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated 10/01/2006, using Albers Equal-Area Projection, North American Datum 1983.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1117: Drainage area. WSP 1631: 1940. WDR 2012: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1938 to April 1991, October 1991 to current year. Monthly discharges only October 1938 to February 1939.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 540.99 above  NAVD of 1988  determined by  GNSS Level II Survey using Alltera network with RTK Trimble R-10 tied to RM-2 by USGS Personnel on 08-07-2019. Prior to 08-07-2019  Datum of gage was 540.80 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to April 25, 1939, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - 10/01/2022 - 09/30/2023; records good.  Quality of data for other periods can be obtained by contacting the Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center. Some regulation by several flood-retarding structures.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in June 1935 reached a stage of 25.4 ft, from floodmarks.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum Peak Stage, 24.79 ft, from flood mark, May 19, 1960. Maximum Peak Flow, 41,500 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 25,000 ft³/s, May 19, 1960.
