LOCATION - Lat 32°44'59.5", long 96°55'34.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Dallas County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12030102, on the downstream side of HWY 180/West Davis Street bridge, 650 ft downstream from East Jefferson Blvd, 0.8 mi upstream from Texas and Pacific Railroad Company bridge, 1.8 mi downstream from Mountain Creek Lake Dam, and 4.4 mi east of Grand Prairie.
DRAINAGE AREA - 298 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct. 1960 to current year. PERIOD OF RECORD, Water-Quality.-- CHEMICAL DATA: May 1969, Feb. to May 1994. PESTICIDE DATA: Feb. to May 1994. SEDIMENT DATA: Feb. to May 1994.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 401.31 ft above NGVD of 1929, 401.26 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Dec. 1984, at datum 6.0 ft higher. From Dec. 1984 to Mar. 2016, 0.20 mi upstream at Jefferson Blvd. at datum 3.0 ft higher. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Station is periodically affected by backwater conditions from West Fork Trinity River. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically. Since installation of gage, flows have been regulated by Mountain Creek Lake Dam. No flow at times. No known diversions.
