LOCATION - Lat 32°47'42.00", long 99°36'20.50" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Shackelford County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12060102, near left bank at downstream side of bridge on TX HWY 6, 0.8 mi. southeast of Leuders.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,542 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct. 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of the gage is 1474.92 ft. above NAVD88. Satellite telemeter at station.
COOPERATION - The City of Abilene, TX and the U.S. Geological Survey, USGS.
REMARKS - Since water year 1930, at least 10% of contributing drainage area has been regulated. There are numerous diversions above station for municipal supply and oil field operations that affect streamflow. No flow at times. Some records listed in the period of record for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 12,000 ft³/s, May 30, 2016 (gage height: 26.52 ft).
