08394024 PECOS RIVER NORTH BOUNDARY (BLM WETLANDS) NEAR DEXTER, NM
LOCATION - Lat 33°19'02.1", long 104°21'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Chaves County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13060007, on left bank at BLM wetlands, 9 mi downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 380, 14 mi north of Dexter.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14,670 mi² of which 1,814 mi² probably is noncontributing.  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2003 to September 2014. October 2014 to current (daily discharges less than 350 ft³/s).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 3,430 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records good except for estimated discharges and discharges above 450 cfs, which are poor. Water years 2015-2017; records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Water year 2018-2019; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Flow regulated by Lake Sumner (station 08384000), approximately 140 mi upstream, and Santa Rosa Lake (station 08382810), approximately 192 mi upstream.
