LOCATION - Lat 39°13'57.5", long 107°13'39.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.33, T.9 S., R.88 W., Pitkin County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14010004, on left bank 1.2 mi upstream from Avalanche Creek, and 3.6 mi north of Redstone.
DRAINAGE AREA - 167 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1955 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 6,905 ft above NGVD of 1929, from river-profile map. Prior to May 16, 2012, at site 150 ft upstream, on right bank, at same datum.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Water year 2015; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Water year 2016; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Water year 2017; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Water year 2018; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. Water year 2019; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2020; no estimated daily discharges. Records good. A few small diversions for irrigation upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 4,840 ft³/s, June 10, 2010, from rating curve extended above 3,000 ft³/s, gage height, 6.01 ft, from crest-stage gage.
