09108500 TAYLOR PARK RESERVOIR AT TAYLOR PARK, CO
LOCATION - Lat 38°49'03.78", long 106°36'18.86" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Gunnison County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020001, at dam on Taylor River just downstream from Taylor Park, and 16 mi northeast of Almont.
DRAINAGE AREA - 254 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1089: 1940(M), 1942(M), 1945-46. WSP 1924: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1937 to current year. Prior to October 1938, published in WSP 1313. Records available at Uncompahgre Valley Users Association from October 1937 to June 2019.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satelite telemetry, and nonrecording gage (read once daily). Datum of gage is 9,187 ft above NGVD of 1929, (levels by U.S. Bureau of Reclamation); gage readings have been reduced to elevations above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by an earth and rockfill dam. Dam completed by U. S. Bureau of Reclamation in September 1937. Capacity of reservoir, 106,200 acre-ft between elevations 9,187 ft, bottom of outlet gates, and 9,330 ft, crest of spillway. No dead storage. Water used for irrigation in Uncompahgre Valley. Figures given are usable contents. Records available at Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association from October 1937 to June 2019.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum contents, 111,000 acre-ft, July 1, 1957, elevation, 9,332.35 ft; minimum after first filling, 8,780 acre-ft, Oct. 19-20, 1956, elevation, 9,240.70 ft.
