DRAINAGE AREA - 25,406 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to May 6, 2019 the datum of the gage was 3,980 ft above NGVD of 1929 from a topographic map.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct 29, 2014 to present.
GAGE - Water stage recorder. Elevation of the gage is 3,926.29 ft above NAVD of 1988 from a level 2 GNSS survey conducted on May 6, 2019.
COOPERATION - National Park Service.
REMARKS - Records are good except for estimated daily discharge which is fair.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood on Jul 4, 1884 reached a discharge of about 125,000 ft³/s, from flood record at Fruita, Colorado.
