LOCATION - Lat 40°29'36", long 110°34'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.09, T.1 N., R.6 W., Duchesne County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060003, Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, on right bank at Lower Stillwater damsite "B", 0.1 mi upstream from Corral Creek, 6.8 mi downstream from South Fork, and 11.9 mi northwest of Mountain Home.
DRAINAGE AREA - 147 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WDR UT-77-1: Drainage area, WDR UT-95-1; 1994.

Measurement 857 on March 5, 2018; added 0.02 ft. datum correction to measurement gage height and reference gage readings; correction from levels run on July 23, 2018; measurement was previously approved; T. Gibson 9/24/2018.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1937 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest stage gage. Datum of gage is 7,243.22 ft. above NAVD of 1988 from a Level II GNSS survey conducted on November 8, 2023.  Prior to April 12, 1939, nonrecording gage at site 300 ft upstream at different datum.
REMARKS - Records are generally fair except for estimated discharges which are poor. Flow partially regulated at Upper Stillwater Reservoir 8 mi upstream, beginning November 3, 1987. Total capacity, 32,000 acre-ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,330 ft³/s, Jul 8, 2011, gage height, 6.54 ft; maximum gage height, 6.62 ft, June 4, 1986 from floodmarks; minimum recorded, 2.0 ft³/s, Mar 16, 2006 (probably caused by ice jams above station).
