LOCATION - Lat 40°30'43", long 110°20'27" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.04, T.1 N., R.4 W., Duchesne County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060003, Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation, on left bank 1.5 mi downstream from powerplant of Moon Lake Electric Association, Inc., 2 mi downstream from Hell Canyon, 8.2 mi northwest of Altonah.
DRAINAGE AREA - 132 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR UT-77-1: Drainage area, WDR UT-95-1: 1994.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1944 to current year. Prior to October 1965, published as Yellowstone Creek near Altonah.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 7,451.49 ft. above NAVD of 1988 from a Level II GNSS survey conducted on August 8, 2023.
REMARKS - Records are fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
