LOCATION - Lat 37°53'29.29", long 110°22'15.01" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Garfield County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14070001,
DRAINAGE AREA - 75,530 mi² of which 4,260 mi² probably is noncontributing.  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Gage height and stream-elevation referenced to NAVD of 1988 only Dec 15, 2016, to Jan 16, 2025. Stage and discharge records from 1947-1958 available for 09335000, Colorado River at Hite, UT located 8.5 miles downstream and downstream of confluence with Dirty Devil River. 
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of the gage datum is set at RM16 and is 3595.46 ft NAVD88 from a Level 2 GNSS survey of May 1, 2022 with a peak-to-peak error of 0.22 ft. The elevation of RM10 which is near the gage house at the bridge is 3785.01 ft above NAVD of 1988 from a level 2 GNSS survey conducted on May 7, 2019.
REMARKS - Stage only record from Dec 15, 2016 to current year. Stage is affected by backwater from Lake Powell. Diversions above station for irrigation and power, including several transmountain diversions. Flow regulated by Blue Mesa Reservoir since Nov 27, 1965 and by Flaming Gorge Reservoir since Nov 1, 1962.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation of Lake Powell as measured at Page, AZ by the Bureau of Reclamation is 3708.34 ft on Jul 14, 1983 (NGVD29). The corresponding NAVD88 elevation is 3711.51 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 3638.4 ft, Jul 11, 2017. Minimum elevation, 3571.1 ft, Mar 14, 2024.
