LOCATION - Lat 37°15'55.9", long 107°00'39.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.13, T.35 N., R.2 W., Archuleta County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14080101, on pedestrian bridge downstream from The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs, 0.1 mi. upstream from McCabe Creek, 0.7 mi. downstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 160, and 1.9 mi. upstream from Mill Creek.

DRAINAGE AREA - 281 mi².

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stage known since at least 1885, that of Oct. 5, 1911. Flood of June 29, 1927, reached a stage of 13.5 ft, discharge about 16,000 ft³/s, from information by local residents.
