LOCATION - Lat 34°51'06", long 114°36'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.19, T.9 N., R.23 E., San Bernardino County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 15030101, San Bernardino meridian, on right bank at Needles, 15 mi upstream from Bureau of Reclamation gaging station near Topock, AZ, 30 mi downstream from Davis Dam, and 97 mi downstream from Hoover Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 174,500 mi², of which 4,000 mi² is noncontributing, in the Great Divide basin in southern Wyoming.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1931 to current year (mean elevations through September 1987; maximum elevations thereafter).
