LOCATION - Lat 33°49'20", long 109°48'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.16, T.5 N., R.24 E., Apache County, AZ, Hydrologic Unit 15060102, in Fort Apache Indian Reservation, on left bank 600 ft downstream from highway bridge, 0.1 mi upstream from Rock Creek, and 10 mi east of Fort Apache.(unsurveyed).
DRAINAGE AREA - 38.8 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Aug. 1957 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 6,050 ft above sea level. Prior to Dec. 29, 1960, at site 600 ft upstream at datum 12.78 ft higher. Dec. 29, 1960, to Sept. 28,1962, at site 600 ft upstream at datum 12.92 ft higher.
REMARKS - Records good, except estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,700 ft³/s Oct. 1, 1983, gage height, 5.40 ft, from rating curve extended above 1,000 ft³/s; minimum daily discharge, 3.0 ft³/s estimated, November 28, 2005.
