LOCATION - Lat 32°46'36", long 114°38'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.10, T.16 S., R.22 E., Imperial County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 15030107, San Bernardino meridian, 500 ft from turnout from All-American Canal to Yuma Main Canal, 4.0 mi north of Yuma, and 14.9 mi downstream from intake of All-American Canal at Imperial Dam.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1926 to current year. Prior to October 1938, monthly discharge only published in WSP 1313.
GAGE -

Datum of gage is 157.11 ft above NAVD of 1988. 

COOPERATION - 10 minute flow readings from the electric generators are furnished by Yuma County Water Users' Association. Mean daily discharge is computed by USGS.
REMARKS - Record is rated good above 300 ft³/sec and poor below and on estimated days. New powerplant began operation September 14, 1987, replacing former powerplant located 500 ft. downstream that ended operation December 8, 1972. A weir, installed in forebay of former powerplant, is used to measure flow bypassing the new powerplant. Separate gates on the All-American Canal to powerplant and bypass weir are controlled automatically on signal from the powerplant accusonic flowmeters on the two generators. Records of daily discharge show quantity of water diverted from All-American Canal to Yuma Main Canal (powerplant and bypass), except that diverted from forebay of former powerplant to Walapai Canal (see station 09523900).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - 1930 to current year: Maximum daily discharge, 2,040 ft³/s, Nov. 11, 1943; no flow for several days in 1937-39, 1945, 2006, and 2009.
