LOCATION - Lat 40°36'06", long 111°20'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.36, T.2 S., R.5 E., Wasatch County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 16020203, on left bank 0.25 mi downstream of bridge on State Highway 32, 4.5 mi upstream from Ross Creek and Hailstone.
DRAINAGE AREA - 230 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR UT-89-1, UT-93-1: Drainage area. Prior to March 19, 2021 the datum of the gage was 6,220 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1949 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 6,282.83 ft. above NAVD of 1988 from a Level II GNSS survey conducted on September 18, 2023. Datum lowered 1.00 ft November 20, 1964. Gage relocated 1.5 mi upstream on April 8, 1993, to a site above the high-water line of Jordanelle Reservoir, at different datum. Gage relocated 1.04 mi upstream on April 19, 2023, to a site just below the Victory Ranch Road Bridge at different datum.
REMARKS - Records are fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Records include flow of Weber-Provo diversion canal and Duchesne Tunnel, a transbasin diversion. Flow also affected by irrigation diversions above station and by storage in several small reservoirs at headwaters. Information on flow of Duchesne Tunnel, and capacities of small reservoirs is available from Provo River Water Commissioner's Report, (total capacity, 10,080 acre-ft). 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 6,100 ft³/s, Jun 7, 1986, from rating curve extended above 2,500 ft³/s; gage height, 9.91 ft, from floodmarks at site and datum then in use; maximum gage height, 10.15 ft, Jun 6, 2010; minimum discharge, 6.87 ft³/s, Aug 9, 2018.
