LOCATION - Lat 36°24'08", long 120°25'57" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.34, T.17 S., R.14 E., Fresno County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18030009, on left bank, 9.2 mi southwest of town of Cantua Creek, and 19 mi north of Coalinga.
DRAINAGE AREA - 46.4 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1958-65 (annual maximum), October 1966 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 684.24 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to October 1966, crest-stage gage at datum 2.00 ft lower.
REMARKS - Some small dams for stock use upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,420 ft³/s, Mar. 1, 1983, gage height, 5.72 ft, maximum gage height, 7.38 ft, from floodmarks, Mar. 10, 1995; no flow for several months in most years.
