LOCATION - Lat 37°46'38", long 120°51'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Stanislaus County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040010, in Eight Square Leagues on Stanislaus River Grant, on left bank at State Highway 120 bridge, at Oakdale.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,032 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revised figures of discharge, in cubic feet per second, for the water years 1897, 1900-1901, superseding those published in WSP 299, are in WSP 1515.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - WATER-DISCHARGE RECORDS: Water years June 1895 to February 1901 (discontinued).

PERIOD OF RECORD - CONTINUOUS WATER-QUALITY DATA:
WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years August 1985 to current year. (water years 1985-2023, daily).
INSTRUMENTATION - Thermistor equipped water-quality recorder since Aug. 28, 1985.
REMARKS - Water temperature can be affected by releases from Woodward Reservoir Dam.
Water-temperature records for 2016 water year were rated excellent. Records for 2015 and 2014 water year were rated excellent to fair.
The practice of assigning qualitative accuracy ratings to continuous water-quality data was discontinued in Water year 2017.
