LOCATION - Lat 38°34'02", long 121°23'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.12, T.8 N., R.5 E., Sacramento County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020111, on right bank, 5 mi southwest of Carmichael, and 20.2 mi downstream from Folsom Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,938 mi².

WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years November 1998 to current year. (water years 1999-2023, daily). 

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-temperature recorder since Nov. 13, 1998.
REMARKS - Water temperature can be affected by releases from Folsom and Nimbus Dams.
Water-temperature record for the 2014 water year rated excellent except for some periods, which are rated good.
Water-temperature record for the 2015 water year rated good except for some periods, which are rated excellent or fair.
Water-temperature record for the 2016 water year rated excellent.

The practice of assigning qualitative accuracy ratings to water-quality data was discontinued in water year 2017.
