LOCATION - Lat 37°51'58", long 122°34'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Marin County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18050005, in Saucelito Grant, on left bank, downstream of bridge, 0.10 mi west from junction of Highway 1/Shoreline Highway and Muir Woods Road, and 0.30 mi east of Muir Beach.
DRAINAGE AREA - 7.10 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharges for Oct 1, 2014 to Nov 25, 2014 were revised on Jul 25, 2016.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1, 2014 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 11.88 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 14.57 ft above NAVD of 1988.
COOPERATION - Data collected by the National Park Service 2014-2017, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey. U.S. Geological Survey started collecting data October, 2017.
REMARKS - Possible pumping affect from groundwater well field located upstream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1213 ft³/s, gage height, 8.16 ft, Jan. 10, 2017 from rating extending above 840 ft³/s ; no flow at times.
