LOCATION - Lat 42°33'51.75", long 121°52'46.97" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.04, T.35 S., R.7 E., Klamath County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 18010201, on right bank, 0.8 mi downstream from Sprague River, 1.2 mi southwest of Chiloquin and at mile 10.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,030 mi². approximately.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 981: 1938(M). WSP 1565: 1920(M), 1927(M), 1938.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1917 to current year. Monthly discharge only for October 1922 to August 1923, published in WSP 1315-B.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 4,148.50 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Sept. 1, 1923, at different datum. Sept. 1, 1923 to July 12, 1991, at site 0.6 mi upstream at datum 7.05 ft higher.
REMARKS - Some regulation by diversion dams and log pond operations on Sprague River. Diversions for irrigation upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 17,100 ft³/s Jan. 5, 1997, gage height, 10.27 ft; minimum discharge, 285 ft³/s Aug. 6, 8, 9, 1994.
