LOCATION - Lat 48°12'41", long 122°20'10" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.31, T.32 N., R.4 E., Snohomish County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110008, on right bank 3.3 mi Southeast of Stanwood, 0.9 mi downstream of Jorgenson Slough, and at mile 2.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 662 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2013 to September 2015 (discharge record only). October 2015 to current (stage only).
GAGE - Water stage recorder. Datum of gage is NAVD 1988.
REMARKS - Flow is affected by tide. No regulation with possible small diversions upstream. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 30,200 ft³/s Nov. 26, 2014; maximum gage height, 19.24 ft, Nov. 18, 2015; minimum daily discharge, -65.0 ft³/s Aug. 29, 2015.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - TURBIDITY: November 2013 to September 2017. WATER TEMPERATURE: April 2016 to October 2016. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: April 2016 to October 2016.
INSTRUMENTATION - TURBIDITY: FTS DTS-12 turbidity sensor. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE and WATER TEMPERATURE: In-Situ Aqua Troll 200 multi-parameter sensor interfaced with a Data Collection Platform/Electronic Datalogger, with 15-min recording interval, since November 2013. REMARKS - Flow is affected by tide. Daily minimum, maximum, mean and median statistics should be interpreted differently at estuarine sites than at freshwater sites due to multiple coastal influences, including an off-set tidal cycle superimposed over a daily cycle. No regulation with possible small diversions upstream. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
