12388700 FLATHEAD RIVER AT PERMA, MT
LOCATION - Lat 47°22'00.45", long 114°35'06.00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.36, T.19 N., R.24 W., Sanders County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 17010212, Flathead Indian Reservation, on right bank 0.3 mi north of Perma, 0.4 mi downstream from Camas Creek, and at river mile 10.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 9,024 mi² of which 20 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1983 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,469.31 ft, referenced to National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Geological Survey satellite telemeter is located at the station.
REMARKS - Flow is affected by regulation from Hungry Horse Reservoir (station no. 12362000) and by Flathead Lake (station no. 12371500). Numerous diversions for irrigation occur upstream from station.

INSTRUMENTATION - Water temperature recorder was installed Aug. 30, 2000.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 30.0°C, September. 5-7, 2003; minimum recorded, -0.2°C, December, 16, 18-20, 27, 2008, and January 25, 2009 (annual record).
