LOCATION - Lat 43°18'19.0", long 110°40'48.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.31, T.39 N., R.115 W., Teton County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 17040103, on downstream side of East Hoback River Road bridge, 1.0 mile downstream of Willow Creek, 3.5 miles upstream from mouth, and approximately 15 miles southeast of Jackson.
DRAINAGE AREA - 563 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - The peak streamflow qualification code for the 1918 water year was updated on July 18, 2024, after a re-examination of the record.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1917 to September 1918 (no winter records, published as "near Cheney"), October 1944 to September 1958, May 2022 to current year.  Monthly discharge only for October and November 1944, published in WSP 1317.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage datum is 5,985.11 ft above NAVD88, from GNSS survey.  July 10, 1917 to September 30, 1918 (no winter records), staff gage daily observation at site about 3.0 mi downstream from station at different datum.  October 8, 1944 to May 29, 1956, staff gage daily observation at site 0.85 mi upstream from station at different datum.  May 30, 1956 to September 30, 1958, staff gage at site 0.75 mi upstream from station at datum 0.92 ft lower than previous location.   U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - Small diversions above station for irrigation, amount of flow diverted unknown.
