LOCATION - Lat 42°48'55", long 111°30'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.14, T.7 S., R.42 E., Caribou County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040207, China Hat quad., on right bank 70 ft upstream from railroad bridge, just upstream from the Monsanto Chemical Company "Haul Road", 5 mi upstream from Blackfoot Reservoir flow line, 6 mi south of Henry, 11 mi north of Soda Springs, and at mile 90.8.
DRAINAGE AREA - 333 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1914 to September 1925 (no winter records except water year 1915), August 1967 to October 1982, April 2001 to September 2005; seasonal records (April to September) water years 2006 to 2009, April to November 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 6,263.21 feet above NAVD 1988 (USGS). Mar. 25, 1914 to Sept. 30, 1914, non-recording gage at site 3.3 mi downstream at different datum. Oct. 1, 1915 to Sept. 30, 1925, non-recording gage at site 4 mi downstream at different datum. August 1967 to September 1982, recording gage at present site and datum.
REMARKS - Diversions above station for irrigation of about 4,500 acres (1966 determination).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,150 ft³/s Apr. 26, 1974, gage height, 8.60 ft; minimum daily, 5.0 ft³/s Aug. 14, 2001.
