LOCATION - Lat 42°36'22", long 114°28'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Twin Falls County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040212,

Twin Falls quad., on downstream side of old Perrine Bridge pier, 200 ft upstream from outlet of Blue Lakes, 4 mi north of city of Twin Falls, and 4 mi downstream from Shoshone Falls.

DRAINAGE AREA - 22,360 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1911 to June 1917, May 1919 to December 1947, July 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 3133.33 ft above NAVD88. Sept. 29, 1911 to June 30, 1917 and May 1, 1919 to Sept. 18, 1930, staff gage 100 ft upstream at same datum. Sept. 19, 1930 to Dec. 1947, staff gage on bridge pier 120 ft streamward at same datum.
REMARKS - Snake River at Twin Falls is subject to complete regulation at Milner dam near Burley, ID, and also by various irrigation and power dams above Milner. During the irrigation season the entire Snake River may be diverted at or above Milner and the only flow at the gage is comprised of gains from springs and minor tributaries entering the system below Milner dam.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge observed, 32,200 ft³/s June 10, 1914, gage height, 13.3 ft; minimum, 240 ft³/s Apr. 7, 2023, gage height, 1.27 ft. Minimum gage height, 1.23, Mar. 7, 2023.
