LOCATION - Lat 43°40'27.18", long 114°21'44.14" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.18, T.4 N., R.18 E., Blaine County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040221, Sun Valley quad., 0.7 miles upstream of mouth, on left bank upstream of 2nd Avenue South bridge.
DRAINAGE AREA - 64.3 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1920 to September 1921 (seasonal records only). 1977, 1986-87, 2006 (discharge measurements only). November 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage datum is arbitrary.
REMARKS - Diversions above station for irrigation. Storage above station is unknown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 750 ft³/s June 8, 2017, gage height, 7.83 ft; maximum gage height, 8.08 ft, Feb. 10, 2020 (ice affected); minimum discharge, 0.09 ft³/s Dec. 26, 2018, gage height 4.57 ft.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous water temperature data were collected from May 13 to Sept. 24, 2014.
REMARKS - Numerical uncertainty is not currently computed for time-series water-quality records but qualitative ratings are provided based on professional judgment. The temperature sensor was installed as part of a baseline study on water-quality and biological conditions on May 13, 2014 and removed indefinitely on Sept. 24, 2014. All daily values will be reported between May 14 and Sept. 23, 2014. No daily values are estimated.
