LOCATION - Lat 46°30'16", long 116°19'10" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.26, T.37 N., R.1 E., Clearwater County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17060308,

The gage is located on the left bank approx. 1.3 miles downstream Dworshak Dam, 75 ft. downstream from the Highway 7 bridge.  

DRAINAGE AREA - 2,443 mi².

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2009 to September 2010. Data from 1993 to September 2003 are available from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla office, and data from April 2005 to September 2009 are available from the U.S. Geological Survey Kennewick Field Office.

REMARKS -

The USACE manages spill levels for fish passage to avoid exceeding 120% total dissolved gas (TDG) in project tailraces and 115% in the forebay of the next project downstream consistent with the current percent TDG limits.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 11.1°C, Nov. 12, 2014; Minimum recorded, 3.8°C, Mar. 11-16, 2011, but may have been higher or lower during periods of missing record.

TOTAL DISSOLVED GAS: Maximum recorded, 122 percent saturation, April 11-13, 2011 and June 13-14, 2022; Minimum recorded, 91 percent saturation, Jan. 31-Feb. 3, Feb. 9, Mar. 2, 2011, but may have been higher or lower during periods of missing record.
