DRAINAGE AREA - 208 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1638: Drainage area.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1947 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,236.42 ft above NGVD of 1929 (Federal Highway Administration bench mark). Oct. 1 to Nov. 4, 1947, nonrecording gage at site 40 ft upstream at datum 0.80 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated since 1963 by Cougar Lake (active capacity, 164,800 acre-ft). No diversion upstream from station. Computation of monthly and annual adjusted flows discontinued water year 2014.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 24,500 ft³/s Dec. 28, 1945, gage height, 8.8 ft, from floodmarks, at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers site 40 ft upstream, at datum 0.80 ft higher (computed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 17,600 ft³/s Dec. 11, 1956, gage height, 8.66 ft, from rating curve extended above 8,100 ft³/s; maximum gage height, 8.90 ft Dec. 22, 1955 (backwater from debris); minimum discharge, 17 ft³/s Nov. 18, 1965; minimum daily, 85 ft³/s Apr. 26-28, 1977.
PERIOD OF RECORD - BAROMETRIC PRESSURE: April 2012 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Meteorological monitor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - BAROMETRIC PRESSURE: Maximum, 746 mmHg Dec. 30, 2014; minimum, 706 mmHg Jan. 20, 2017.
REMARKS - BAROMETRIC PRESSURE: Collection, computation, and publication of barometric pressure data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service. Records published in this report are for general scientific use.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: May 2019 to current year.

pH: May 2019 to current year.

WATER TEMPERATURE: July 1955 to November 1999, December 2000 to current year.

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: December 2000 to September 2006, May 2019 to current year.

TURBIDITY: December 2000 to September 2006, February 2016 to April 2016, May 2019 to current year.

TOTAL DISSOLVED GAS: April 2012 to current year.

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor. Any use of trade, product, or firm names in this publication is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.

TURBIDITY: Data collected using a YSI EXO2 sonde. Manufacturer's stated accuracy is the greater of +/- 2 percent of reading or 0.3 Formazin Nephelometric Units (FNU) for 0-999 FNU, and +/- 5 percent for 1,000-4,000 FNU. FNU values below 10 are reported to nearest 0.1 FNU. Negative recorded values are reported as 0.0 FNU. Additional parameters collected at this location are available via NWISWeb.

Water-quality data collected at this location may not always provide a representative value of the cross section due to inadequate mixing of flow between the dam (0.6 mi upstream) and probe. Sensor depth collected at this location is not referenced in this document.

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 52microsiemens Oct. 13, 14, 16, 17, 20, 21, 26, 2019; minimum, 33 microsiemens May 15-17, 2019.
