LOCATION - Lat 44°32'25", long 122°26'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 sec.10, T.12 S., R.3 E., Linn County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17090006, Bureau of Land Management land, on right bank, 80 ft downstream from Panther Creek, 10 mi north of Cascadia and at mile 6.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 99.2 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revision: Annual maximum discharge for Water Year 1994 was revised on June 22, 2023 based on further review of the annual peak discharge record.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1963 to November 1964 (destroyed by flood of December 1964), October 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 1,050 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Aug. 13, 1963 to Dec. 22, 1964, water-stage recorder on left bank at present datum.
REMARKS - No regulation or diversion upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 36,500 ft³/s Dec. 22, 1964, on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 23,700 ft³/s Feb. 7, 1996, gage height, 20.54 ft, from rating curve extended above 8,000 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum discharge, 14 ft³/s Aug. 19-23, 1973.
