  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 25°12'11.89", long 80°35'02.80" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in T.60 S., R.37 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, left bank upstream of mouth, 9 mi northwest of Key Largo.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - For unit value gage height, WDR-US-2006, site 251209080350100: 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005. For unit value discharge, WDR-US-2008, site 251209080350100: 2005, 2006, and 2007. See REMARKS.  Figures of Discharge, in ft NAVD88, for Aug. 1, 2017, has been revised on Mar. 26, 2018, based on changes to the mean water velocity.  Daily values are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1995 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage shaft encoder and acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage North American Vertical Datum of 1988(NAVD88).
REMARKS - Daily mean discharge is not published. The discharge for this station is more affected by wind than astronomical tides. Discharge at wind-driven sites may require a different filter (subtidal) than the Godin low-pass filter. Discharge and gage height records are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Mean monthly discharge tables for the period of record are published. Mean monthly discharge tables only include months with a complete record of daily mean discharges. Discharge and gage height 15 minute data and mean monthly discharge data can also be accessed online at http://sofia.usgs.gov/. Gage height daily values are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: Maximum positive discharge, 879 ft³/s (estimated), Oct. 24, 2005; maximum negative, 570 ft³/s Oct. 24, 2005. GAGE HEIGHT: Maximum gage height, 3.37 ft (estimated), Oct. 24, 2005; minimum, -1.84 ft Mar. 10, 1996.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - SALINITY (TOP): October 1995 to current year. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE (TOP): October 2010 to current year. WATER TEMPERATURE (TOP): October 1995 to current year. SALINITY (BOTTOM): October 1995 to June 2013. Discontinued. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE (BOTTOM): October 2010 to June 2013. Discontinued. WATER TEMPERATURE (BOTTOM): October 1995 to June 2013. Discontinued.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor with top and bottom sensors.
REMARKS - Prior to Sept. 14, 2010, salinity was computed directly from specific conductance using a conversion within the continuous water quality monitor. From Sept. 14, 2010, to current year, salinity is computed from corrected specific conductance data using a rating in the NWIS database. Salinity and water temperature sensors located at -2.1 ft NAVD88 (TOP) and -3.6 ft NAVD88 (BOTTOM); bottom sensor discontinued. Salinity and water temperature 15 records are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Salinity and water temperature 15 minute data can also be accessed online at http://sofia.usgs.gov/. Daily values of salinity and water temperature are available online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
