LOCATION - Lat 34°45'18", long 79°28'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Scotland County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03040204, in Laurinburg off Willow Drive.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 240 ft. Upper casing diameter 10 in; top of first opening 70 ft, bottom of last opening 224 ft. Measured depth 120.4 ft, November 7, 2016.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 211 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of instrument shelf, 1.5 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 7, 2000 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1969, October 1993 to current year. Continuous record began December 2000.
GAGE - Water-level recorder collecting data at 15-minute intervals. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station operated in cooperation with the City of Laurinburg.
REMARKS - Water levels affected by pumping of nearby municipal wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 2.69 ft below land-surface datum, December 17, 2018; lowest water level recorded, 24.70 ft below land-surface datum, December 13, 2007.
