LOCATION - Lat 35°43'15", long 78°30'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Wake County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03020201, 9.3 mi east south east of Raleigh. Owner: NCDENR (North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources), Division of Water Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 28.6 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 13.6 ft, bottom of last opening 28.6 ft. Well is screened from 13.6 to 28.6 ft, sand filter packed from 7 to 28.6 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 189.36 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of PVC casing, 2.51 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 31, 2005 to Dec. 16, 2005; floor of instrument shelf, 2.69 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 15, 2005 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2005 to November 2009 (discontinued). Continuous record began December 2005. June 2019- present. Continuous record re-started June 2019
GAGE - Water-level recorder collecting data at 15-minute intervals. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS - Well is part of Piedmont/Mountains groundwater study.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 13.53 ft below land-surface datum, March 4, 2021; lowest water level recorded, 19.97 ft below land-surface datum, September 15, 16, 18, 19-25, 2008.
