GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 302.19 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 3.4 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 13, 1964 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 5, 1956 to present.
GAGE - Stevens model A-35 chart recorder installed August 5, 1956. Stevens model 7001 digital recorder installed August 8, 1988. September 20, 2000 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability were installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
REMARKS - Furnished record rated poor (August 5, 1956 to July 12, 1964) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. There were several abrupt jumps in the data and could be due to the float getting hung. This is not justifiable and therefore is rated poor. Furnished record rated good (July 13, 1964 to November 17, 1982) because 44 water level measurements are available and are within 0.5 ft of the daily value measurement. This data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and has been verified by USGS. Furnished record rated poor (November 18, 1982 to August 7, 1988) because only 4 water level measurements are available to verify daily values. There were several abrupt jumps in the data and could be due to the float getting hung. This is not justifiable and therefore is rated poor. Furnished record rated good (August 8, 1988 to October 1, 1991) because 15 water level measurements are available and are within 0.5 ft of the daily value measurement. This data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and has been verified by USGS. Furnished record rated poor (October 2, 1991 to Sepetember 19, 2000) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. There were several abrupt jumps in the data and could be due to the float getting hung. This is not justifiable and therefore is rated poor. Furnished record rated good from September 20, 2000 to December 08, 2009 based on 18 water level measurements made during this period to verify recorded water levels. Record from 10/01/2008 to 04/21/2010 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to /- 0.05 ft. Data from 04/21/2010 to 08/02/2010 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/03/2010 to 07/27/2011 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 07/27/2011 to 03/12/2012 is poor based on 2 water level measurements made during the period and determining its accuracy is debatable but probably +/- 4 ft. The encoder was malfunctioning during this period and it is difficult to determine the accuracy of the recorded data because no field visits occurred. The record from 03/13/2012 to 09/18/2012 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/18/2012 to 08/19/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/20/2013 to 08/11/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/12/2014 to 06/07/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/08/2016 to 02/28/2017 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. Multiple spikes on the hydrograph were deleted due to equipment malfunction. The record from 03/01/2017 to 09/05/2017 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.
