LOCATION - Lat 36°42'17.70", long 78°01'56.66" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Brunswick County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010204, 255 ft northwest of the intersection of Main Street and Kerr Drive and 280 ft southwest of the intersection of Railroad and Main Streets in Brodnax.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 445 ft. Upper casing diameter 6.62 in; top of first opening 119 ft, bottom of last opening 120 ft. Drilled unused water well, cased to 83 ft, open hole from 83 to 445 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 382.37 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 2.39 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 21, 2007 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in biotite gneiss of Proterozoic age. Water level affected by magnitude 5.8 Mineral, VA earthquake on Aug. 23, 2011.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 15.94 ft below land-surface datum, Feb. 24, 2016; lowest recorded, 26.56 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 12, 2008.
