  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
365319089331001 Sikeston
Mississippi River Valley alluvial aquifer
Holocene Alluvium
LOCATION - Lat 36°53'17.6", long 89°33'09.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.21, T.26 N., R.14 E., Scott County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 08020201,
REVISIONS HISTORY -
Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 310.34 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 310 ft NAVD88 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

Data from Jan 01, 1985 to Jan. 23, 1986 from this well was published in Berkas and others, 1989 with the site id 365319089330501. The published water level data in this report are 2.50 ft lower than the approved data for this site because the Berkas and others report had water level data referenced to the measuring point which is 2.50 ft above land surface. Data is now referenced to land surface instead of the measuring point.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 310.34 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 2.5 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 12, 1956 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1, 1956 to present.
GAGE - November 1,1956 to November 6, 1980 - A-35 strip chart recorder. November 7, 1980 to April 27, 2000 - Stevens model 7001 digital recorder; April 27, 2000 to present telemetry DCP. November 1, 1956 to Februray 26, 2007 water level measuring device is float driven encoder. From February 27, 2007 to present, the water level measuring device is a vented, submersible pressure transducer.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from November 1, 1956 to April 27, 2000 furnished from MDNR.
REMARKS - Furnished record rated poor (November 1, 1956 to September 8, 1988) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. There were several abrupt jumps in the data probably caused by a hanging float breaking free. MDNR occaisionally added data to fill in gaps during periods of missing record. This data were deleted when found. Water leves for this period cannot be verified and therefore is rated poor. Furnished record rated good (September 9, 1988 to October 23, 1991) based on sixteen available water level measurements which are within 0.5 ft of the daily value measurement. This data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and has been verified by USGS. Furnished record rated poor (October 24, 1991 to April 26, 2000) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. There were several abrupt jumps in the data probably caused by the float getting hung. This data cannot be verified and therefore is rated poor. Data from 04/27/2000 to 09/30/2008 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (15 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. This record is considered good and accurate to +/- 0.2 ft. Record from 10/01/2008 to 09/07/2010 is good based on 8 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/08/2010 to 09/26/2011 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/26/2011 to 09/18/2012 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft The record from 09/19/2012 to 08/20/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/21/2013 to 08/12/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/13/2014 to 05/09/2016 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 5/10/2016 to 03/01/2017 is good based on 3 water level measurements during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 03/02/2017 to 01/09/2018 is good based on 3 water level measurements during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 01/10/2018 to 04/09/2018 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 04/10/2018 to 09/10/2018 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The fair rating is based on a large gap of data in June-July when the equipment malfunctioned. The record from 09/11/2018 to 11/28/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/29/2018 to 02/04/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 02/05/2019 to 04/15/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.
